Nigerian health technology company MDaaS Global, led by CEO Oluwasogo Oni, has closed a successful pre-Series A funding round, securing a significant investment of $3 million from investors.

The funding round was jointly led by Aruwa Capital Management and follow-on investor Newtown Partners, with participation from Ventures Platform, one of MDaaS Global’s earliest institutional backers. The pre-Series-A funding round brings MDaaS Global’s total funding since its inception to $6.8 million, providing a substantial boost to the company’s expansion and development efforts.

The investment will support the advancement of MDaaS Global’s proprietary technology platform, BeaconOS, introduced last year. Additionally, the funds will fuel the company’s expansion plans, aiming to establish a presence in all 36 states of Nigeria.

MDaaS impact on African healthcare with 275,000 patients served across 10 states in Nigeria

Founded in 2016 by Oni (CEO), Opeyemi Ologun (Country Manager), and Genevieve Oni (CFO), MDaaS Global launched its first diagnostic clinic in 2017, offering imaging, cardiac assessments, and laboratory diagnostics.

MDaaS Global’s expansion strategy includes a combination of company-owned clinics and affiliate partnerships, with the goal of democratizing access to premium diagnostics and healthcare services across Africa

The company has since expanded to 17 locations across 10 states in Nigeria, serving over 275,000 patients. Leveraging advanced technology and a vast care network, MDaaS Global supports more than 1,300 healthcare facilities, companies, and HMOs through its BeaconHealth platform.

MDaaS Global’s BeaconOS serves as the foundation for applications like Olewerk, optimizing diagnostic workflows, and Beam, managing occupational health for corporate clients. Oni, CEO and co-founder, with a unique blend of U.S. and Nigerian healthcare insights, emphasizes tailoring technology for the African healthcare experience.

His leadership has been instrumental in forming crucial partnerships and driving operations. The successful funding round underscores growing recognition and investment in African health tech startups, positioning MDaaS Global to revolutionize healthcare delivery in Africa.
