On a triumphant Saturday, Sept. 9, Gauff, hailing from the United States, triumphed over the formidable Belarusian professional Aryna Sabalenka, making history as the youngest woman to win a Grand Slam title since Serena Williams achieved the feat in 1999.

Her remarkable victory at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York City, propelled her to number three on the Official Women’s Tennis (WTA) Rankings and solidified her reputation as one of tennis’s brightest stars.

Recent analysis by Billionaires.Africa, employing official figures from the U.S. Open authorities, reveals that Gauff amassed a total of $108,400 from her doubles matches at the tournament. Her singles matches, in which she displayed her extraordinary talent, added a substantial $1.909 million to her earnings.

However, the pivotal turning point was her triumphant win in the competition’s final, which came with a grand prize of $3 million. This victory, secured at Arthur Ashe Stadium, transformed her total earnings from the competition into a staggering $5.017 million.

The WTA provided figures indicating that Gauff’s total annual earnings now stand at $5,557,372. Her financial success is further demonstrated by her career prize money, which now totals $11,107,463, making her one of the world’s highest-earning athletes in tennis.

In the previous year, Gauff’s earnings of $15.2 million had already earned her a coveted spot on Forbes’ prestigious list of the world’s highest-paid tennis players, alongside tennis luminaries like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Daniil Medvedev.
