Hip-Hop’s first billionaire Jay-Z acquires Brazilian football agency

Jay-Z, the first billionaire in the hip-hop industry, has recently acquired TFM Agency, a Brazilian football agency, through his company Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI).

The acquisition marks RNSI’s expansion into the South American football market. Notably, TFM Agency represents renowned football players such as Vinicius Jr, Martinelli, and Endrick. As a result of the acquisition, the agency has been rebranded as Roc Nation Sports Brazil and will be based in Sao Paulo.

Frederico Pena, the founder of TFM Agency, has been appointed as the head of Roc Nation Sports Brazil.

Jay-Z founded Roc Nation Sports International in 2013. It represents athletes in basketball, baseball, football (soccer), and boxing. The agency offers comprehensive management services to its clients, including contract negotiations, marketing and endorsement deals, brand management, and career guidance.

To expand its global reach and provide opportunities for its clients, RNSI has formed partnerships with prominent sports agencies and organizations worldwide. Notably, the agency has extended its operations beyond the United States by entering international markets such as Brazil through the acquisition of TFM Agency.

Some prominent athletes represented by Roc Nation Sports International include basketball players Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, baseball player Robinson Canó, football player Saquon Barkley, and boxer Miguel Cotto.
