Gambian real estate mogul and TAF Africa Global Founder Mustapha Njie has announced plans to create at least 25 million jobs across Sub-Saharan Africa by 2040.
In a recent interview with Voice Gambia, Njie unveiled the company’s plans to build 1 million homes in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2040. “The labor that’s involved in developing a million homes is going to create 25 million jobs because in every house you will need 25 workforces to deliver these houses,” he said. “That’s 25 million jobs that are going to be created, and that’s why we are very passionate about training.”
Njie founded TAF Africa Global in 1990 to develop real estate in Africa. In 2018, he created a new mission for the company to develop 1 million homes until 2038.
TAF Africa Global is a pan-African real estate company with an unspecified net worth in the millions of dollars. In Nigeria alone, the company is constructing or negotiating the purchase of properties worth about $700 million.
TAF Africa Global has subsidiaries in eight African countries, including The Gambia, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Togo and Rwanda. He has implemented major projects in Nigeria and The Gambia.
In 2013, TAF Africa Nigeria, a subsidiary of TAF Africa Global, entered into a joint partnership with the Rivers State government to develop and transform 40 hectares of swampy and inaccessible land into quality housing, The Sisters Show reported.
Njie also has an operational footprint in Delta State, where he transformed an inaccessible and waterlogged area into the luxury RIIVTAF Golf estate.
